Four Ways to Keep Your Staff Inspired and Productive as Summer Cools into Fall

Take advantage of the momentum created by a “back to school mentality” and leverage these great ideas to keep your team motivated throughout the cooler months:

  • Roll-out “Fall Fridays.” Companies of a variety of industries allow employees to leave early on select Fridays throughout the summer, usually to get a head start on weekend traffic. Adapt the concept and announce an early release on one Friday each month in the fall to help ease the commute, and therefore the stress, of your team!
  • Host an Ice Cream Party! Who says ice cream is just for the summer? Go a step further and surprise your company with the sweet treat on a day when the weather is particularly gloomy.
  • Start a Walking Club. Take 15 minutes once a week to go on a company-wide walk to stretch your muscles and get your blood flowing. Not only does it help break up the day, but getting regular exercise during the workday can help reduce stress and improve sleep.
  • Set Goals! Whether they are team-oriented or individual-oriented, working towards a specific objective helps keep staff members of all departments on task and moving forward.
