Why Millennials are Moving to the Suburbs

REALTOR Magazine recently wrote about the 2016 National Association of REALTORS® Home Buyer and Seller Generational Trends study, in particular the findings about Millennial priorities.

The study found that Millennials are increasingly moving to the suburbs, often because they are settling down and can’t afford to pay for the amount of space they need for a family while staying in a city. But more interestingly, while they are thinking about the future of their families, the group isn’t as concerned as Gen X is with their homes’ proximity to schools. Rather, according to the article, Millennials are focused most on quality of neighborhood and convenience to jobs.
